Job summary

MyCareerCraft in South Africa's Eastern Cape is seeking a hands-on PLCTechnician for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform planned, preventive and reactive maintenance on PLCs and robotics to keep production running at peak efficiency.

The role requires a National Diploma or equivalent, a Trade Test, and several years of experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley, with ERP/MES familiarity as a plus. You will diagnose faults, close job cards, and provide ad hoc electrical support.

Qualifications

• Trade Test is non-negotiable.
• Siemens and Allen-Bradley programming experience required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical or Electronic Technician in manufacturing.
• Hands-on PLC and robot programming experience.
• Familiarity with ERP and MES systems is an advantage.
• Computer literate (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance across the factory floor.
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment.
• Ensure every job card is closed properly.
• Work with PLCs and robots on production lines.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring problems.
• Provide ad hoc electrical technical assistance to production as needed.
