Job summary

MA Automotive Tool and Die (PTY) Ltd in South Africa seeks a skilled technician to perform general electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance as well as fault finding maintenance on industrial robots, projects, and robotic applications standards.

You will work with PLC programming and related systems, ensuring quality and adherence to SHEQ procedures while supporting continuous improvement across automated processes.

Qualifications

• 5 years of automation and instrumentation experience.
• Extensive PLC programming knowledge: Siemens, ABB, KUKA.
• Familiar with S5/S7, TIA Portal, Integra wave 4, and related PLCs.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, maintenance/robotics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain robots to meet quality standards.
• Fault finding and preventative maintenance per maintenance schedule and job cards.
• Compile feedback on time sheets and ensure accurate repair data.
• Ensure company procedures, works instruction and quality systems are adhered to.
• Participate in departmental problem solving as required.
• Ensure works practices comply with SHEQ procedures and instructions.
