The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, Pr Eng registration with ECSA, and at least five years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Roads and Stormwater Engineer to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay . This role is central to the development and maintenance of essential transportation infrastructure and effective urban drainage systems. You will be involved in all phases of project development, from conceptual design and feasibility studies through to construction supervision and handover. Key Responsibilities

• Design and detail roads, intersections, and associated geometric layouts, ensuring compliance with geometric design standards.
• Develop comprehensive stormwater management plans, including drainage systems, culverts, and detention/retention facilities.
• Prepare tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities for road and stormwater projects.
• Manage construction projects, providing site supervision and ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments and road safety audits.
• Liaise with municipal departments, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and management of roads and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydrological/hydraulic modeling software.
