Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan rural and urban roads, including alignment, grading, and pavement design.


• Develop comprehensive stormwater management plans and drainage system designs.


• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications using CAD software.


• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new infrastructure developments.


• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and local municipal requirements.


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals and successful implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.


• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. or Techni Eng. is highly desirable.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil design, with a focus on roads and stormwater.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design and drafting software.


• Good understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and pavement engineering principles.


• Strong report writing and communication skills.
