Publicis Groupe Africa Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Account Manager in Johannesburg to oversee day-to-day client initiatives, own editorial plans, and ensure timely delivery of work. You’ll be the primary client contact, coordinating with the team to keep reporting slick and accurate.

You will assist with strategy development alongside senior staff, manage monthly billing, and begin gaining exposure to profitability for your stream while building strong media relations and project management

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Public Relations.
• 3 years’ experience within a PR agency.
• Advertising agency experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Client relations: Demonstrate excellent client relationships and ability to manage expectations.
• Client meetings: Drive participation in client meetings, managing meeting protocols and agendas.
• Understanding: Demonstrate a detailed understanding of clients’ businesses and competitors for idea generation.
• Demonstrate value to clients by keeping them updated on competitor news.
• Billing: Review billing arrangements and action monthly billing timeously.
• Timesheets: Demonstrate accurate daily time recording and reporting.
• Reporting: Ensure timely monthly reports and develop new reporting ideas.
• Budget: Understand stream budget and profitability.
• MSL Newsdesk: Participate in daily newsdesk/meetings and share relevant news with clients.
