Job summary

Publicis Groupe Africa in Cape Town is seeking an Account Manager to oversee day-to-day client initiatives, own editorial plans, and ensure timely delivery. You will be the primary client contact, supported by interns and AE, with focus on reporting and profitability.

Responsibilities include media relations, pitching, writing, project management, strategy development with SAM/AD/SAD, research, media list updates and participation in MSL Newsdesk meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience managing client portfolios and editorial plans.
• Strong ability to build media relationships in South Africa.
• Ability to develop strategic client programmes with senior colleagues.
• Excellent writing and pitching skills.

• Account management: own client activities and meetings.
• Media relations: build journalist relationships in SA.
• Pitching: craft compelling story angles.
• Writing: produce client content and brief editors.
• Project management: lead projects end-to-end.

• MSL Newsdesk: participate in daily newsdesk meetings.
