Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience focused on revenue recognition.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 15.
• Proficient in ERP software and advanced Excel.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities.
• Analyze revenue trends, variances, and KPIs.
• Prepare detailed revenue schedules and audit supporting documentation.

About the Role

Our client, a thriving technology solutions provider located in George, Western Cape , is seeking a meticulous and analytical Revenue Accountant . This specialized role is critical for ensuring the accurate recognition and reporting of revenue in accordance with accounting standards, particularly IFRS 15. The successful candidate will play a key part in the month-end close process, revenue forecasting, and supporting business operations with revenue-related insights. Key Responsibilities

• Support the FP&A team with revenue forecasting and budgeting.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the revenue accounting function.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of revenue data within the accounting systems.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards related to revenue recognition.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CPA) is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lianaise effectively across departments.
