Job summary

Qualifications

• Ensure Health & Safety, compliance and emergency preparedness.
• Provide accurate reporting and administration to senior management.

ESTATE MANAGER | CAPE TOWN

A leadership opportunity where operational excellence meets community. We are looking for an experienced Estate Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, facilities and resident experience within a premium retirement community in Cape Town. This is a hands‑on senior role for someone who combines strong facilities and estate management expertise with exceptional people skills and a genuine, compassionate approach to working with older adults.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily estate operations, maintenance, clubhouse, kitchen, landscaping and irrigation
• Lead resident relations and community activities
• Manage budgets, expenditure and financial reporting
• Lead, develop and supervise the estate team
• Manage contractors and external service providers
• Take full responsibility for Health & Safety, compliance and emergency preparedness
• Ensure the estate is maintained to an exceptional standard
• Provide accurate reporting and administration to senior management

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum 5 years' experience in estate, facilities or related management
• Strong property, maintenance and Health & Safety knowledge
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Financial and budget management capability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised, professional and solutions-driven
• Compassionate and confident when engaging with residents
• Computer literate
• Relevant degree or qualification preferred
• Own vehicle essential
