Job summary

Mr Price Group Careers seeks a Store Manager in the Eastern Cape to lead a team of associates, maximize store turnover, and maintain stock loss benchmarks while overseeing daily operations and compliance. You will drive stock management, control expenses to meet targets, train staff, uphold company policies, and ensure a high standard of customer service and store presentation.

Excellence in English, strong leadership, and experience in retail management are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric or Grade 12 is required; Mathematics is an advantage.
• 2 years’ experience in a Retail Store Management or Assistant Store Manager role.
• Excellent business English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock and control expenses to meet targets.
• Achieve and/or exceed the store's targets.
• Use store resources to maintain productivity.
• Thorough knowledge of stock and store policies and procedures.
• Act as custodian of company policies to ensure standards are met.
• Manage and train all staff and build a strong team.
• Maintain company culture by treating staff with respect and professionalism.
• Ensure interactions with customers yield above-average service.
• Monitor store cleanliness/hygiene to comply with laws and standards.
