Job summary

Beko in Midrand, South Africa is seeking a Retail Inventory Planner to monitor stock levels across retailer DCs and stores, identify shortages, and coordinate replenishments.

You will work with retailer planners to create STOs, track transfers, and escalate issues to ensure stock availability for promotions and normal trading. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of stock management are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric essential; a relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Retail Operations or Business Administration advantageous.
• 2–3 years' experience in retail planning, replenishment, inventory management or sales administration preferred.
• Experience working with major national retailers advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Vlookup
• Knowledge of AI integration would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels across retailer DCs and stores weekly.
• Identify low or zero stock on active Defy SKUs and coordinate replenishment with KAM.
• Identify excess or slow-moving stock and potential overstock situations.
• Analyse stock cover against historical sell-out performance.
• Highlight discrepancies where stock is at DC but not reaching stores.
• Monitor stock ahead of promotions and key trading events.
• Provide clear recommendations on stock redistribution and replenishment priorities.
• Facilitate STO creation with retailer planners and track transfers.
• Identify stores needing urgent replenishment based on stock and sales.
• Prepare weekly stock health reports by retailer, SKU and store.
• Track DC stock versus store stock availability and monitor sell-out.
• Identify slow-moving and ageing inventory and maintain exception reports.
• Track stock movements and outcomes of replenishment interventions.
• Provide concise weekly performance summaries to Defey's Key Account Managers.
• Escalate pricing/promotional discrepancies and support KAM & Buyer reviews
