Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Randview is seeking a dedicated security guard to render a security service under the Private Security Industry Regulations Act. You will protect assets, staff and visitors by patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to incidents.

The role requires PSIRA Grade C, Matric, and at least 3 years in retail security; advantageous to have 1 year in a similar role. You will work to deter crime and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12
• PSIRA Grade C accreditation
• 3+ years in retail security (shopping malls/warehouses)

Responsibilities

• Be vigilant and alert to identify suspicious activities and apprehend criminals or remove violators according to Dis-Chem SOPs.
• Carry out regular patrols to ensure visibility and reduce risks.
• Monitor and control access to the premises and document entry by vehicles or pedestrians.
• Investigate and report signs of damage or unlawful entry to management with written reports.
• Maintain clear visibility as a deterrent to crime and ensure safety of people and property.
