Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in the Western Cape is seeking a customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our stores. You will actively engage shoppers, demonstrate product features and help meet monthly sales targets. The role requires Matric (Grade 12) and 2–3 years’ sales experience; applicants with experience in similar positions will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• 2–3 years of sales experience is required.
• Preference will be given to applicants from similar positions.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek and engage customer prospects in-store to maximise sales.
• Provide assistance and information on product features to meet targets.
• Adhere to and achieve departments' sales targets monthly, bi-annually and annually.
• Identify sales opportunities and prepare action plans and schedules.
• Assist customers by determining needs and recommending products.
• Maintain product knowledge and ensure the presentation area is attractive.
• Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain services and analyse sales reports.
