Job summary

Truworths is South Africa's leading fashion retailer seeking a Retail Operations Admin & Risk Manager based at the Cape Town head office. The role covers operational risk, safety, and support services across the store network, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-controlled store operations with strong governance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Matric completed as a base requirement.
• Business Science or BCom degree required.
• 5 to 7 years’ admin and retail risk experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience.
• Retail experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel.
• Power BI reporting capabilities an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EAS requirements for all stores.
• Lead Fire and Safety requirements for stores.
• Manage guarding contracts, performance and relationships.
• Oversee cleaning, pest and hygiene contracts and relationships.
• Coordinate CIT, alarm and CCTV needs.
• Lead a small team and ensure invoicing, journals and accruals are updated.
• Produce ad hoc financial and operational reports.
• Manage budgeting for risk requirements across stores.
• Oversee insurance requirements, supplier relationships and claims.
• Chair weekly and monthly operational meetings and steerco committees.
• Handle ad hoc operational projects.
