Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Operations Analyst for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will collect and analyze operational and sales data across channels, build dashboards, and track KPIs such as sales, inventory turnover, and costs to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail operations analyst or similar analytical role.
• Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement within the retail industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and sales data from various retail channels.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction, and operational costs.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in operational data to pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of retail processes (e.g., inventory management, supply chain, store operations) and recommend efficiency enhancements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
• Support the forecasting of sales, inventory needs, and operational resource allocation.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management on findings, insights, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with store managers and operational teams to gather data and implement solutions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and provide ongoing analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting systems relevant to Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA operations.
