Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Merchandiser for its Soshanguve store. You will ensure merchandising standards are followed and provide excellent customer service while restocking and maintaining stock.

The role requires Grade 12 / Matric, up to 6 months retail experience, and readiness to work retail hours. MS Office skills and a neat, customer-friendly presentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
• Up to 6 months retail experience preferred
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to maximize sales
• Store and stock areas maintained in correct space and time
• Ensure stock on shelves is within sell-by dates
• Maintain full product range on shelves at all times
• Rotate stock on FIFO basis
• Report low/out-of-stock, damaged, or expired stock to management
• Assist with stock counting and stocktakes
• Adhere to store standards, layout, and planograms
• Flatten boxes after unpacking and move to designated area
• Ensure shelves are neatly presented with correct labels and pricing
• Report price discrepancies to management
• Keep up-to-date on new products
• Build, face, stock and maintain merchandising displays
• Maintain daily store and display upkeep and designated storeroom stock
• Assist with loading/off-loading stock
• Mark items without barcodes
• Assist with back shopping and training new staff
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and resolve stock queries
