Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Merchandiser for their Kenilworth Centre store. You will ensure basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are executed and maintained while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include restocking, stock control, displaying products, following FIFO, price accuracy, and assisting in training new staff. You will also uphold health and safety rules and store SOPs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Up to 6 months’ retail experience preferred.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Store and pack stock in correct space timeously.
• Maintain stock on shelves with correct sell-by dates.
• Rotate stock on FIFO basis.
• Report low/out-of-stock, damaged or expired stock to management.
• Assist with stock counts and general stocktaking.
• Adhere to store standards, layout and planograms.
• Ensure shelves are neat with accurate pricing and labels.
• Flatten boxes and manage stock areas as directed.
• Assist in loading/unloading stock and back shopping.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and advice.
• Follow up on customer stock queries using the out-of-stock list.
