Absolute Pets in Cape Town is seeking a Retail Community Leader to guide day-to-day store operations while transforming the location into a thriving community hub. The role combines retail excellence with active community engagement to create a destination customers visit not just to shop, but to connect with the Absolute Pets brand and fellow pet parents.

You will lead staff, drive sales, and deliver world-class customer experiences, using local partnerships and initiatives to build loyalty.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) completed.
• 1-2 years in a leadership or people management role.
• Creative mindset to improve customer experience and grow sales.
• Experience with pets or in the pet industry.
• Able to plan multiple activities while running daily store ops.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Retail Management: lead day-to-day store operations and achieve targets.
• Sales: drive sales and manage merchandising.
• Service: deliver world-class service and coach others.
• Stock: ensure full stock, place orders, and manage admin.
• Staff: lead and develop the team, uphold Absolute Pets culture.
• Community Engagement & Experience: plan local store initiatives and engage with the community.
