Takealot Group is offering a Retail Buying intern role in Cape Town for an 18-month contract. You will assist the buying team with order processing, supplier coordination, and stock management while developing both technical and soft skills in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Ideal applicants have an N6/NCV in Business Management or Commerce, strong attention to detail, good communication, and a hands-on approach. Excel and Google tools are essential in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office suite and online tools.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the division in all administrative functions linked to buying and order processing.
• Assist the Buyer with buying processes and checks.
• Check customer reviews, links and newsletters.
• Manage customer queries and escalate as necessary.
• Oversee stock levels, orders, stock classification, and catalogue queries.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding stock availability and orders.
