Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer for our client in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on safeguarding assets, reducing theft, and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and staff.

You will detect and deter theft, investigate incidents, and implement preventive measures across the store. The successful candidate will have strong observational skills, integrity, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in security or loss prevention is preferred.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for interviews and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Monitor store activities to detect theft and security risks.
• Observe behavior for suspicious activities.
• Investigate incidents of shrinkage or policy violations.
• Apprehend individuals per policy and law guidelines.
• Prepare detailed incident and security reports.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with management and law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct store walk-throughs and audits for vulnerabilities.
• Install and monitor CCTV and security equipment.
• Educate staff on LP best practices.
