Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Specialist to join our Kimberley team in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on safeguarding company assets by minimizing losses due to theft, fraud, and errors, and entails implementing loss prevention strategies across stores.

The ideal candidate will have strong investigative and reporting abilities, experience with CCTV systems, and the ability to collaborate with staff and management to maintain a secure retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in loss prevention, security, or related field within retail.
• Proven experience in conducting investigations and gathering evidence.
• Strong understanding of retail security systems and surveillance techniques.
• Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement loss prevention strategies across Kimberley locations.
• Monitor store operations for theft, fraud, and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct investigations into suspected theft, fraud, and policy violations.
• Collect and preserve evidence, prepare reports, and assist in legal proceedings as needed.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and other security equipment.
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure policy compliance.
• Train staff on loss prevention awareness and procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when required.
• Analyze loss data to identify trends and suggest preventative measures.
