Job summary

Stellenbosch Hotel in Stellenbosch is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for permanent, monthly-paid employment. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, lead the team, coordinate shifts, manage stock, and handle guest queries to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires a hospitality qualification, 1+ year in a supervisory role, and strong communication skills. WSET1 is advantageous; shift work and weekend availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Hospitality qualification from an accredited institution (NQF 5).
• Minimum one year experience as Restaurant Supervisor.
• WSET Level 1 – advantageous.
• Ability to handle guest complaints and make decisions.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and late/early shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and guest experience.
• Lead, support and motivate the restaurant team and coordinate shifts.
• Manage stock and monthly stock takes; handle queries and complaints.
• Assist with food, wine and beverage service and maintain standards.
