Job summary

A premier lodge in Western Cape is seeking an experienced Reservationist to ensure a seamless guest booking experience. You will be the first point of contact, handling all reservations and guest inquiries with professionalism. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of central reservations experience and a tertiary qualification in Hospitality & Tourism. This role offers a salary of R20,000-R25,000 plus incentives.

  • Confirm bookings, handle modifications, cancellations, and special requests.

Do you have a passion for hospitality, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to create a seamless guest booking experience? Our lodge is looking for an experienced Reservationist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our valued guests.

As a Reservationist, youll play a pivotal role in delivering a warm welcome before guests even arrive, ensuring that every booking is handled with efficiency, accuracy, and a personal touch.

What Were Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years experience in central reservations (essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality & Tourism (preferred).
  • Proficiency in reservation systems; BENSON experience an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle guest inquiries, concerns, and unexpected situations with professionalism.
  • Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Team player with leadership and problem-solving abilities.
What Youll Do
  • Assist guests with reservations via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information on availability, rates, packages, and special offers.
  • Manage reservations on BENSON (experience an advantage).
  • Confirm bookings, handle modifications, cancellations, and special requests.
  • Maintain strong relationships with operators, agents, and internal departments.
  • Upsell other properties within the group to maximise guest experience.
  • Keep accurate reservation records and ensure smooth inter-department communication.
