Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced financial reporting professional to prepare and manage financial reporting packs. You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting, develop analytical tools, and collaborate with various teams.

The ideal candidate has a relevant tertiary qualification, at least 6 years of financial reporting experience, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.

Job Description

• Prepare and manage monthly financial, management, and performance reporting packs
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial reporting activities
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytical tools to support business decision-making
• Analyse financial and operational performance and provide meaningful business insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Strengthen reporting controls, governance, and financial reporting standards
• Ensure compliance with internal reporting requirements and financial policies
• Support external audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Develop automated reporting solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems, and data quality
• Collaborate with finance, commercial, and operational teams to ensure reporting accuracy and relevance
• Provide management with actionable insights to improve business performance
• Utilise data analytics, modelling tools, and AI-driven technologies to enhance reporting capabilities

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), SAIPA, or CIMA preferred
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in financial and management reporting
• Strong experience in financial analysis, reporting, and performance management
• Commercial or agricultural industry experience preferred
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Microsoft BC) advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and reporting standards
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines
