About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Renewable Energy Project Manager to join their team in Benoni . This role is central to overseeing the successful development and execution of various renewable energy projects, from inception through to completion. You will manage timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet their objectives, focusing on delivering high-quality solar, wind, or other green energy installations. The hybrid work model offers a balance of collaborative office time and focused remote work, allowing for effective project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of renewable energy projects , including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , with a significant portion dedicated to the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hydro, etc.).
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
