Job summary

Sasol in Cape Town seeks a Renewable Energy Project Analyst to support the full lifecycle of solar and wind projects across South Africa. You will conduct technical and financial feasibility analyses, prepare project documentation, and coordinate with engineering, finance and legal teams to meet regulatory and commercial requirements.

You will engage with government agencies, local communities and international investors to secure permits and financing, contributing to the country’s clean energy

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant renewable energy project analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Experience with solar PV and wind technologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with South African energy regulations and environmental impact assessments.
• Project management experience or PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and financial feasibility analyses for solar and wind projects across SA and the region.
• Develop project proposals and financial models, with risk assessments.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance and legal teams to prepare dossiers.
• Support permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
• Monitor milestones, budgets and timelines, and report status.
• Engage with communities and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
