Job summary

Tumaini Consulting seeks an experienced renewable energy professional to drive wind energy analysis, BESS sizing and dispatch optimisation, and energy/revenue modelling across wind, solar PV and BESS projects in South Africa. You will contribute to technical input for project approvals, financing and offtake strategies from early development through to construction.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or BSc(Eng) qualification.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in wind energy assessment.
• Demonstrable renewable energy development experience.
• BESS modelling and dispatch optimisation experience is highly preferred.
• Understanding of South Africa's electricity market and relevant pricing and wheeling mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Highly organised, proactive and capable of taking ownership.
• Ability to solve problems logically and make practical recommendations.
• Willingness to travel.
