Placements24 is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Remote Wind Energy Turbine Technician to join its expanding renewable energy operations in South Africa. You will remotely monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues using advanced diagnostics, and coordinate on-site teams when necessary.

In this role you will develop detailed reports, ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, and collaborate with engineering and operations to optimize performance and minimize downtime from a remote

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years as Wind Turbine Technician or similar maintenance role.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in demanding environments.
• Proficient with SCADA and remote monitoring software.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor wind turbines using specialized monitoring software and diagnostic tools.
• Analyze performance data to identify issues, predict failures, and recommend preventive maintenance actions.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to on-site technicians during repairs and troubleshooting.
• Develop detailed reports on turbine performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.
