Placements24 is seeking a specialized Water and Sanitation Civil Engineer to join the team, focusing on projects that improve essential services in the Eastern Cape region, with conceptual base in Queenstown. The role involves design, planning, and management of water supply systems, wastewater treatment facilities, and related infrastructure.

This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement, enabling collaboration with remote teams while delivering projects with significant social impact

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a specialization in water or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and sanitation infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in design software (EPANET, SWMM) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes and wastewater management.
• Experience in project management and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of water treatment plants, distribution networks, and sewerage systems.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and wastewater systems.
• Prepare detailed designs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Manage project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
• Ensure compliance with water quality standards and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with municipal authorities and community stakeholders to ensure project success.
