Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Civil Engineer with a focus on Water Resources to join its virtual engineering team in South Africa. You will design, model, and manage water-related infrastructure—from dams to pipelines—working with project teams and clients entirely online.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources or Environmental) and 6+ years of experience in water resources engineering. Pr.Eng with ECSA is highly desirable for professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in water resources engineering, including design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan water resource projects such as dams, canals, pipelines, and water treatment facilities.
• Conduct hydrological studies, hydraulic modeling, and impact assessments for water infrastructure.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents for water projects.
• Manage project execution remotely, coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and stakeholders through digital platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant environmental regulations and water management policies.
• Provide technical support and expertise to clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
