Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Virtual Reality Education Specialist to lead the integration of VR into educational curricula from a remote location in South Africa. You will design, develop, and implement VR learning experiences, and train educators on VR tools across diverse learning environments.

The role blends pedagogy with technical know-how, requiring experience in VR platforms (Unity/Unreal) and a passion for immersive education.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or implementing educational technology solutions with VR/AR
• Strong understanding of pedagogy for immersive learning environments
• Excellent presentation and training skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Responsibilities

• Design and develop VR-based educational content aligned with learning objectives
• Research and evaluate VR hardware/software for education
• Create training materials and run workshops for educators on VR use
• Provide technical support to educators and students using VR tools
• Integrate VR modules into existing curricula with curriculum developers
• Assess VR learning interventions and collect improvement feedback
• Stay updated on VR tech, learning science, and best practices
• Manage VR hardware/software resources and deployments
• Contribute to thought leadership through talks and publications
• Promote ethical use of VR in education
