Placements24 seeks a visionary Remote Telecommunications Network Architect to lead end-to-end design of next-generation network infrastructure. This fully remote role focuses on scalable, secure architectures and strategic technology adoption across core, edge, and access layers.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in telecom design, MS or PhD preferred, and deep knowledge of IP routing (BGP/OSPF), SDN/NFV, and cloud networking. Strong leadership and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in telecom network design and architecture.
• Master's degree; PhD a plus.
• Expertise in IP networking, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SDN/NFV, and cloud networking.
• Experience with fiber, 4G/5G, and satellite communications.
• Proven ability to design large-scale, complex networks.
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecom network solutions including core, edge, and access.
• Create roadmaps and strategies for network evolution and tech adoption.
• Evaluate hardware, software, and protocols to meet requirements.
• Ensure designs are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams.
• Produce architectural docs, diagrams, specs, and best practices.
• Lead reviews and guide network engineers and designers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and performance gains.
• Develop standards and guidelines for implementation and ops.
