Placements24 is seeking an innovative Senior Telecoms Network Architect to lead the design and development of our next-generation telecommunications infrastructure. This fully remote role allows you to translate business requirements into robust network designs from your home office.

You will shape the network landscape with scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions, collaborating with global engineering teams.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
10+ years in network design and architecture for telecoms.
Expert knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS and SD-WAN.
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network automation.
Proven ability to design large-scale, resilient networks.
Strong security principles and network hardening expertise.
Excellent remote communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the network architecture strategy and roadmap.
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions for enterprise and carrier-grade environments.
Evaluate emerging technologies and standards, assessing their potential impact and applicability.
Create detailed network designs, including topology, routing, security, and capacity plans.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure architectural alignment and successful implementation.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams.
Define and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
