Job summary

Camunda is seeking a Technical Writer who will be embedded within product teams to own documentation for key areas of our platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure our docs are clear, accurate, and aligned with the product experience.

You’ll become a subject matter expert writing developer-focused content across guides, API references, tutorials, and blog posts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience in developer-focused content.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and related technologies.
• Experience with on-premise and SaaS documentation.
• Ability to tailor content for diverse technical audiences.
• Docs-as-code workflows using AI, Git and Markdown.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive documentation for one or more product areas as embedded writer within product teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to align docs with roadmap and features.
• Become a subject matter expert reflecting real-world usage in Camunda products.
• Lead documentation from concept through release, including planning, writing, reviewing, and maintenance.
• Advocate for docs as a core part of user experience and inform design decisions.
• Improve structure, clarity, and completeness using feedback and analytics.
• Collaborate with the Documentation team to share best practices and evolve tooling.
