Placements24 is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead remote procurement for technology components and services. You will shape sourcing strategy, select suppliers, and conduct complex negotiations to secure value for a fast-growing tech firm.

The role requires 6–8 years in strategic sourcing, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record in cost savings. You will partner with engineering and product teams, manage supplier relationships, and operate autonomously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement with a technology focus.
• Proven track record of leading sourcing initiatives and delivering significant cost savings.
• Deep understanding of contract negotiation, legal terms, and risk management in procurement.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, especially in virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for technology-related goods and services.
• Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers ensuring alignment with quality, ethics, and performance.
• Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and SLAs.
• Manage strategic relationships with key vendors and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and total cost of ownership to identify savings and mitigate risks.
• Develop supplier performance management programs and conduct regular reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, and operations to forecast future needs.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with policies, ethics, and regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management.
• Contribute to refining the company's procurement strategy.
