Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join the advisory team in a remote-first role servicing clients across South Africa, especially the Mahikeng region. You will advise on planning, compliance and structuring for individuals and businesses, analyze tax legislation, and identify optimization opportunities.

The ideal candidate has SA tax expertise, a CTA or equivalent and 3–5 years of tax advisory experience, with proficiency in tax software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Law or Finance with Taxation specialization.
• CTA, HDip Tax or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of tax advisory or compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation.
• Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax planning and compliance advice for individuals and businesses.
• Prepare and review tax returns and computations for diverse clients.
• Conduct tax research on new legislation and implications.
• Assist clients with disputes, audits and negotiations with authorities.
• Develop tax-efficient strategies for transactions and restructurings.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and communicate updates to clients.
