Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist to join a fully remote team in South Africa. The role focuses on optimizing the flow of goods from suppliers to clients, managing inventory, and coordinating with transportation partners to ensure timely delivery.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in logistics, with strong analytical and negotiation abilities to drive cost reductions and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
• Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers.
