Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a proactive and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize logistics and procurement processes remotely from the Bloemfontein/Welkom region. You will collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations and drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year track record in supply chain, logistics, or procurement coordination, with strong skills in planning, communication, and ERP/Supply Chain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement coordination.
- Proficiency with SCM software and ERP systems; strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock and minimize carrying costs.
- Track shipments and proactively address any delays or issues that may impact delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and finance departments to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Support the implementation of supply chain improvements and efficiency initiatives.
