Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize our supply chain operations from our Sandton office. The role encompasses procurement, logistics, and inventory management with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely fulfillment of orders.

You will collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to forecast demand, resolve disruptions, and maintain seamless operations in a hybrid work setting in Sandton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator or in a similar logistics or procurement role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics operations.

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize their supply chain operations, based in their Sandton office. This role involves overseeing the flow of goods from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely fulfillment of orders. You will work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to maintain seamless operations, manage inventory, and resolve logistical challenges. This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing for some remote work while maintaining key in-office responsibilities essential for coordination and team collaboration in the bustling Sandton business hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
• Track shipments and manage logistics to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
• Identify and resolve any supply chain disruptions or issues.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and finance teams to forecast demand and plan accordingly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator or in a similar logistics or procurement role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management , and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills .
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
