Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst for a fully remote position in South Africa. You will analyze procurement, inventory, and logistics data, build dashboards, and advise on cost optimization and supplier performance.

The role emphasizes forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of analytical experience, strong Excel/SQL skills, and proficiency in Python or R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (SCM, stats, econ, analytics).
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain analysis or related analytics.
• Strong data analysis skills with Excel, SQL; Python or R preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data from procurement, inventory, and logistics systems.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and identify improvements.
• Identify trends, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies and propose actionable solutions.
• Support procurement in cost analysis, supplier performance evaluation, and strategic sourcing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct forecasting and demand planning to optimize inventory and minimize stockouts.
