About the Role

Our client, a global leader in technology solutions, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Remote Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their dispersed procurement team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The role focuses on developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to secure best-in-class goods and services at optimal value. You will be responsible for analyzing spend, identifying sourcing opportunities, leading supplier negotiations, and fostering long-term strategic partnerships. This is a critical role for an individual who can leverage market intelligence and analytical skills to drive significant cost savings and improve supply chain performance. The successful candidate will operate in a highly dynamic, results-oriented remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies for key categories of spend.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, including supplier landscape, cost drivers, and emerging trends.
• Lead complex sourcing events, including RFx (RFP, RFQ, RFI) processes.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and agreements with global suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with internal business units to understand their needs and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation, cost reduction, and process improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and leverage technology to enhance sourcing effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a significant portion in a remote or global context.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and managing large spend categories.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
• Expertise in sourcing methodologies and contract management.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships virtually.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in e-sourcing tools and advanced Excel skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
