Placements24 seeks a Remote Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead indirect spend initiatives from a home office across South Africa. You will craft sourcing strategies, run market analyses, and drive savings while managing supplier performance and risk in a fully remote setup.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in strategic sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with e-sourcing tools and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement (indirect spend preferred).
• Proven track record of leading complex sourcing projects and cost savings.
• Expertise in negotiation, contract management and supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency with e-sourcing tools and ERP systems.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Strategic thinker with proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for indirect spend categories like IT, marketing, facilities, services.
• Perform market intelligence and spend analysis to uncover opportunities.
• Lead RFPs, RFQs and e-auctions for sourcing events.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve best terms and value.
• Manage key supplier relationships and monitor performance against SLAs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business goals.
• Identify cost-reduction, process-improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Develop strong internal partnerships and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor market trends, best practices, and new procurement technologies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
