Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst to join a fully remote team focused on sports data insights. You will transform large datasets into actionable reports and visualizations to inform strategy, performance, and fan engagement.

Ideal candidates have strong Python/R and SQL skills, experience with Tableau or Power BI, and the ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in sports or related analytics.
• Strong programming in Python/R and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience creating clear visualizations and reports for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large sports data sets from multiple sources.
• Develop statistical models to analyze player performance and game outcomes.
• Create clear visualizations and reports for coaches and management.
• Identify trends to inform performance improvement and strategy.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Stay updated on data analytics and sports science advancements.
