Placements24 is hiring a Remote Site Safety Officer to uphold high health and safety standards across project sites. The role involves regular travel to Mossel Bay and surrounding locations, with remote coordination of safety plans, training, inspections, and incident investigations in the construction sector.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage PPE, report findings, and liaise with management and regulators, contributing to a culture of safety excellence from a flexible location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction.
• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH/SAMTRAC/OHS Act 85/1993).
• Proficient in site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans in accordance with OHS Act and legislation.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
