Placements24 is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead critical projects, focusing on remote delivery for infrastructure development in Klerksdorp. You will plan, design and implement transportation systems including roads, intersections and public transit, leveraging traffic analysis and modeling to deliver safe, efficient networks.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with Pr Eng registration (ECSA) and 9+ years in transportation engineering and project management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management.
• Proficiency in transportation planning and design software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, PTV Vissim, Synchro.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects, including road networks, interchanges, and traffic management systems.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and demand forecasting using modeling tools.
• Develop geometric designs, pavement designs, and signal timing plans.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international transportation standards and best practices.
• Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful project delivery in a remote setting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, urban planners, and community groups, to integrate transportation solutions.
