Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Senior Tax Accountant to lead tax advisory services for a diverse client base in South Africa. The role is fully remote and demands strong knowledge of corporate, individual, and VAT tax laws, with an emphasis on analytical rigor and proactive tax planning.

You will manage complex engagements, mentor juniors, and ensure compliance and timely delivery while maintaining high ethical standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CTA, or HDip Tax is essential.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in tax accounting and advisory within SA.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, individual, VAT and related tax laws.

Aufgaben

• Lead tax engagements and oversee preparation and filing of tax returns for clients.
• Provide expert tax advisory services including planning, structuring and compliance strategies.
• Conduct tax research on legislative changes and implications for clients.
• Identify planning opportunities and potential risks and advise on actions.
• Represent clients in discussions with SARS and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor junior tax professionals and guide growth.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engagements.
• Develop and implement tax policies and procedures.
• Review colleagues’ work for accuracy and compliance.
