Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our client on a fully remote basis in South Africa. You will lead corporate tax planning, VAT compliance, and the preparation of returns, while advising on the tax implications of strategic business decisions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of SA corporate tax experience, strong Act knowledge, and proficiency with tax software and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law.
• CA(SA), CTA, or HDip Tax required.
• Minimum 6 years' corporate tax experience in SA.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act and VAT Act.
• Proficient with tax software and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns.
• Provide tax strategy advice on transactions.
• Conduct tax research to identify planning opportunities.
• Manage tax audits with SARS.
• Develop tax policies and liaise with consultants.
• Ensure compliance with SA tax laws.
