Placements24 invites a seasoned Remote Senior Tax Consultant to join a prestigious international advisory firm. You will deliver high-level tax planning and advisory services from a fully remote setup within South Africa, guiding clients through complex tax landscapes and ensuring compliance.

The role demands 8+ years in tax consulting, with deep knowledge of SA tax law, international tax principles, and experience with M&A, transfer pricing, and cross-border structuring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Finance.
• CTA, LLM (Tax), or equivalent is essential.
• CA(SA) or Tax Attorney designation highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in tax consulting (corporate & international).
• Strong SA tax knowledge incl. income tax, VAT, CGT, tax treaties.
• Proven advisory, planning, and structuring experience for complex transactions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills.
• Able to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax advice and strategic planning to corporate and high-net-worth clients.
• Develop innovative tax solutions to minimize liabilities.
• Lead complex tax projects including M&A, international structuring, transfer pricing.
• Conduct in-depth tax research on legislative changes and provide proactive insights.
• Manage client relationships and liaise with SARS on audits and disputes.
• Mentor junior tax professionals within the remote team.
• Ensure adherence to professional ethics and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to business development and client networks.
