Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Operations Lead for a fully remote role serving operations across regions, including Randburg, South Africa. You will oversee end-to-end supply chain—planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution—driving efficiency, cost reduction, and resilience.

You will lead cross-functional teams, implement best practices, manage vendor relationships, and use ERP/WMS/TMS tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SCM, Logistics, or related field.
• 10+ years in supply chain with 5+ in leadership.
• Proven track record in end-to-end SCM and improvements.
• Experience with planning, procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS/TMS and analytics tools.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party providers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement innovative solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
• Analyze data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives.
