Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a Senior Solidity Developer to join a fully remote team. You will design, test, and deploy secure DeFi smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, driving performance and security.

You will collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers remotely, implement complex DeFi protocols, conduct code reviews, and stay updated on security best practices. This role offers flexible remote work and exposure to Crypto & Blockchain innovations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record developing production-ready Solidity smart contracts.
• Strong understanding of DeFi concepts, protocols, and tokenomics.
• Expertise in Solidity language and EVM architecture.
• Experience with smart contract development frameworks (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools for smart contracts.
• Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and security.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
• Design and implement complex DeFi protocols, including lending, borrowing, and exchange mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, and other engineers in a fully remote setting.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for smart contracts and related systems.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and performance.
• Research and stay updated on DeFi trends, tools, and security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production smart contracts and dApps.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge base of the team.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
