Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Security Architect for a fully remote role in the industrial technology field. You will design and implement robust security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, protecting data and IP from advanced threats.

Lead security architecture, conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and ensure secure SDLC integration. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams, with occasional collaboration near Nelspruit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security with a focus on security architecture and design.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex IT environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Strong knowledge of network, application, data security, and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud environments.
• Define security requirements and integrate them into SDLC processes.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis for new and existing solutions.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies to improve security posture.
• Provide technical leadership to security and engineering teams.
• Lead security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Contribute to incident response planning and execution.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security objectives.
